With more plot and action than its predecessor, The Raid 2 is somewhat overlong but continues the story of Rama, who this time goes undercover, first in prison and then in a crime family on uneasy terms with two other mobs and some crooked cops. No longer confined to just a rotting tenement building, Rama finds himself in one brutal fight after another—during a prison riot in a very muddy yard; in a fight against twins, one wielding hammers, the other a baseball bat; and in an epic fight in a kitchen against an assassin with a karambit knife.
